Introduction
Conclusion
Google Analytics is a powerful and incredibly helpful tool. It makes a wide variety of reports and insights that make it possible for marketers to work smarter, not harder. While Google Analytics offers a wide variety of insights, it is not the only tool available to understand digital marketing. There are many additional tools that offer similar analytics and can provide answers and ROI for digital marketing techniques. While there are many options available, Woopra is one of the most popular comparisons to Google Analytics.
Woopra
Woopra is focused on understanding customer behavior and getting to the metrics that matter instead of everything that happened, or that is currently happening online (Connell, 2015). Woopra is truly all about consumer behavior. The focus is understanding whom is using the website and what these users are like. Woopra is known for their real time website analytics that are provided for users in a desktop or mobile app dashboard and their individual behavioral profiles on each and every user (Connell, 2015). Woopra’s tools and insights can be extremely helpful for those that are looking to understand exactly whom is using their website, and those whom are looking to complete in-depth behavior analysis on their users. Woopra provides these insights which can be easily found and digested for those who do not need to receive countless additional analytics.
One of the most attractive aspects of Woopra is the fact that it creates a real-time dashboard illustrating what is happening on a website, and who is currently on said website (Weber, 2018). Woopra delves into website data and presents exactly how many people are on the website, which pages customers are on, and details exactly what articles and content the viewers are reading at a specific point in time (Weber, 2018).
For those who are just beginning to use web analytics, these insights can be truly insightful and helpful. The specific analytics of what viewers are reading on a website can be particularly helpful for companies or organizations that have just recently, or are about to redesign their websites. Woopra allows users to see exactly what content customers are interested in and when they are reading it.
This can be helpful in determining when to post content and where to post it on a website. In similarity to Google Analytics, Woopra offers insights that track actions such as comments, custom tagging, advanced segmentation and live chat features (Weber, 2018). Woopra also offers the option to integrate the analytics platform into an online store, as Google Analytics does (Weber, 2018). These additional analytics can provide even more detailed information about who is visiting an online store, exactly which product they are viewing and how long they have been viewing this particularly product. The real time stats available via Woopra can be extremely helpful if a company has sent out an email or marketing action item. A company is able to understand instantaneously if an email or marketing action item did indeed push users to the website by illustrating exactly how many viewers are now on the website and what they are viewing.
Woopra also provides detailed behavior intelligence reports which provide useful information for many companies and organizations that are looking for more detailed behavior reports. These behavior reports allow users to receive a “view of the people engaging with your brand, across the custom metrics that matter most to you” (Woopra, n.d.). The features available through Woopra allow users to quickly view and understand who signed up for a social media campaign, and the who exactly is using the latest product, as well as who is who is viewing which product on the website (Woopra, n.d.). People reports within Woopra can be segmented with ease and be focused on time, level of engagement, or by action taken (Woopra, n.d.). When reviewing all of the availabilities that Woopra offers to users, it is understandable that many users might choose Woopra in order to receive their customer analytics. Woopra allows for detailed, segmented reports that focus in very specific customer areas which are particularly insightful for select businesses.
When choosing an analytics service, it is important to compare several options in order to ensure that the best analytics are being recorded and analyzed. Google Analytics is the industry standard for online analytics so comparing Woopra to Google Analytics before making a choice on which provider to go with is imperative. One of the biggest differences between Woopra and Google Analtyics is the possibility of Woopra to provide real-time analytics that are accurate and not simply an estimate of recorded data (Morgan, 2017).
Google Analytics are not always updated in real time and are sometimes generated as an estimate which can be confusing and unhelpful for some users (Morgan, 2017). Another important aspect to note for Woopra when comparing analytics providers is that Woopra is able to integrate with over 35 other external data providers (Morgan, 2017). This enables a company to collect data in many different ways and using a variety of data collection services and then combine and analyze this combined data within Woopra (Morgan, 2017). This prevents data from being siloed and enables a complete data analysis (Morgan, 2017). Lastly, Woopra allows a company to create actions off of collected data (Morgan, 2017). Whereas Google Analytics is simply a data collection and analysis tool, Woopra allows a company to set up actions that can be taken is a certain data point is collected and analyzed (Morgan, 2017). These differences may seem slight, but they could make all of the difference for some companies. Thus, it is important to understand all of your analytics options before implementing one tool over another.
Data has become an imperative part of business in the world today. Collecting and analyzing data is now essential to keep up with current business trends and competition in the marketplace. In order to obtain and utilize the data analysis tool that is right for each company, much research and comparison must be completed. When this comparison is completed, a company can be sure that is using the ideal tool for its analytics needs, whether that be with Google Analytics, or another product offered within the analytics marketplace.
